Back To The Future is the motto of the newest GAS-pedal from Doc Rodenberg. The Flux-Capacitor-GAS is an Overdrive pedal without the
standard controls such as Gain, Level and Tone.
Less is more and with one step on the footswitch On/Off the time travel
can begin. This is shown by the Rainbow Jewel LED which automatically
changes the color from Green, Red to Blue constantly.
With the GAS switch on the right side you can choose between a bluesy
and creamy sound, which bases on the GAS-809 Tom Riepl Signature GAS.
The
preset Tone/Drive and Level controls are laid out, that you never miss
the standard controls.
The little RODENBERG Time Machine is powered by 1.21 Jigowatt and 20
years before you could get this energy only with Plutonium or
a big
lightning. Thanks goodness,
time went on and now you can get this
energy by a battery or a standard power supply to start the time travel.

Important message concerning the RODENBERG FLUX CAPACITOR GAS PEDAL combined with air travelling
CAUTION!
When travelling with commercial airliners please DO NOT carry the Flux Capacitor GAS in your hand luggage. Rodenberg endorser Tom Riepl already made some strange yet hilarious experience when passing the security gates at Munich airport for a flight to Melbourne. Tom had a couple of effect pedals in his bag, among them one prototype of the Flux Capacitor GAS. Security officers were not interested in the other pedals at all, but got a little bit nervous with the Flux Capacitor pedal, maybe because of the term
'
HOME ENERGY REACTOR' engraved on top of the unit.
Now the strange tool was carefully inspected and then even treated with a cotton pad. One of the security guys mentioned that this could take a while because now they’re going to test it for explosives. I think in that moment Tom really repented of taking that pedal with him. Well, after all HE was the one who absolutely wanted some Back To The Future pedal, there you are…Eventually Tom could convince the officers that this little silver box is only for making a great guitar sound and not for time travelling.
Huh, if they only knew…

Special Features

The sound bases upon the GAS-809 Tom Riepl Signature Model.
There are no controls on the top panel, the GAS FLUX CAPACITOR has
internal pre-set settings of the Tone, Level and Overdrive controls.
Tone (12 o'clock) - Level (12 o'clock) - Overdrive (12 o'clock).
There's one Rocker Switch on the right side of the pedal for selection of
Low Gain or High Gain mode.

Rainbow LED:
The Jewel LED changes the colors automaticaly when 'On' from Green to
Red and Blue...amazing.
LOW/High Gain switch: on the right side of the pedal
On the right side of the pedal there's a Rocker Switch for the selection of
Low Gain or High Gain mode.
In Low Gain mode the pedal runs like a GAS-808 without bass boost.
In High gain mode the pedal runs like a GAS-909 pedal with active bass boost.
Jewel LED switch: on the left side of the pedal
With a Switch you find lefthandside the pedal (next to the output jack) you have the opportunity to run the LED Intensity in eatherway High or Low Mode.
This Switch dims or brightens the intensity of the Jewel-LED. The brightness is enormous and will help you to see the adjustment of the pedal on an however lit stage.
The Low Mode can be helpfull when running the pedal on battery.
True Bypass:
The
Footswitch itself is a true-bypass long-life switch. If the GAS is turned off the guitar signal gets passed through to reach the amp without any loss.
The chosen Jewel-LED is of the kind you find on older vintage amplifiers.
Jacks:
You will find the Input Jack righthandside and the Output Jack lefthandside the GAS-808. The battery will automatically be turned of when the cable at the Input Jack is plugged off.
External power supply:
On the rear side of the pedal you can find the jack for an External Power Supply. Its a standard jack (2,1mm). You can use the usual adapters for floor effects (9V DC,+ = outside ring, ground = inside). If an external power supply is connected the internal battery turns off automatically.
